News International container traffic from "Marine-Trans Ltd"

In the container terminal of port Yuzhny receipt of reloading cranes for transfer of containers is expected.

On again constructed container terminal of company "TIS" in sea trading port "Yuzhny" (Odessa, Ukraine), is expected in July, 2009 receipt of party of the equipment for transfer of containers from large-capacity vessels for transportation of containers.

The container terminal in port "Yuzhny", is designed for unloading of ports Odessa and Ilyichevsk, and also for reception in the Odessa region of sea vessels with containers with load-carrying capacity over 8 thousand TEU and length of the case of a vessel more than 310 m. The director of container terminal "TIS" A.Kuzmenko has told, that in terminal building is already spent order EURO 60 million, and after carrying out of installation works and technical tests of the arriving equipment, start of the container terminal is planned in the end of a year. At present time it is completely ready to work deep-water (depth about 16 m.) the mooring which length makes 480 m. Company management plans, that initial capacity on a turnover of goods of containers will make an order of 0,4 million TEU in a year. In the further work, the new terminal in port "Yuzhny" can leave on the designed capacity which makes about 2 million TEU a year.

For this purpose by the terminal it has been bought the first part of the new cranes and the equipment for an overload of the containers, consisting of three berthing container cranes-stackers of type "Super-Post-Panamax" and ten mobile cranes-stackers of type "RTG" which have left Chinese port "Yuzhny", on vessel Zhen Hua 11 in the end of May of current year.
