News International container traffic from "Marine-Trans Ltd"
The company on sea transportation of container cargoes, Israeli carrier Zim has received a vessel with capacity 8400 TEU.

As informs Port-News, the linear navigable company from Israel which enters into consortium Grand Alliance and engaged in transportation of sea container cargoes Zim has received the first of the ordered 12 vessels for transportation of containers, under name Los Angeles, with load-carrying capacity of 8,4 thousand TEU. In some weeks the company will receive second vessel Djibouti onboard which 10 thousand TEU can already take places.
In the interview, concerning descent Los Angeles from building berths of Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries, president Zim has told, that its company already now prepares for that moment when the international economic crisis will end, and change of structure of the container navigable market will begin. And to satisfy world demand for container transportations of cargoes the company will create worthy fleet for this purpose.
The basic direction for transportation of containers on sea Los Angeles and Djibouti will be the Pacific northwest line connecting the western coasts USA and Canada with ports of the located on East and Southeast Asia.
