According to PortNews, for the first time in the end of November of current year, in the German port Hamburg the vessel for transportation of container cargoes from Nigeria IGUACU (linear operator OT Africa Line) companies CMA CGM has come. The given calling on the container terminal of port of Hamburg passes in frameworks of "the program of expansion of geography of navigation of company CMA CGM».
The container terminal of port of Hamburg is included for the first time in structure of container service connecting port Dakar with Europe on which transportation in coffee containers will be carried out from the countries of the Western Africa, cocoa, a clap, rubber and wood. PortNews also informs, that between the African continent and port Hamburg, current year, transportation of container cargoes have increased to 185 thousand TEU, and, in comparison with 2008 has grown up on 6 %.

Vessel IGUACU, container carrier CMA CGM, has been floated in the end of 2006, on shipyard HDW and has following technical characteristics: a deposit - 11.4 m; length - 212 m; the width - 29.8 m. At present a vessel goes to Lagos where it is expected by December, 18-19th. CMA CGM IGUACU is one of six vessels for transportation of containers with average container capacity in the equivalent of 2.5 thousand TEU plying on linear container service Africa - Northern Europe (OT Africa Line).
