The Odessa container terminal of the operator "Brooklyn-Kiev port" has made an overload of containers from the first linear container cargo ship.

The new container terminal of the Odessa sea transport port in the beginning of April, 2009 in Grain harbor on a mooring № 42 accepted on an overload the first sea container a vessel "DAHLIA" linear carrier CMA CGM, length over 200 m and with capacity 2824 TEU. The operator of the terminal "Brooklyn-Kiev port" has provided to a vessel in port a fast overload of containers and through 17 hours after the work beginning, container cargo ship has left the Odessa port.

As the assistant to the general director on operation of the operator of the container terminal "Brooklyn-Kiev port" has explained D.Vorobev, work on transfer of containers on "DAHLIA" was experiment as till this moment on a mooring № 42 terminals of the Odessa port were accepted basically only feeding vessels of small capacity of containers. Experience on work with large-capacity sea container cargo ship will be put in pawn in the constant schedule of transfer of containers from similar courts.

Also, D.Vorobev has declared, that since April, 2009, the international linear carrier of container cargoes CMA CGM, opens the weekly calling on the container terminal "Brooklyn-Kiev port" the Odessa sea transport port, on which two linear container cargo ships - "VERNET" (length of a vessel - 240) and "DAHLIA".
